Green and arid fields, grain stalks waving, Olive groves and woodland trees, are the common subjects of Ofira paintings.

For twenty three years Ofira was a Kibbutz member in the upper Galilee.
The hills of Galilee, the Golan Heights, and expanses of fields encompassed and influenced her paintings and remain a source of inspiration to this day.
The life in nature, the observation of details with the mastery of the paintbrush and the paint, are expressed in Ofira work. One can feel the movement and the heat of the day; almost smell the fragrance of the earth.
“It is important to me that a painting should convey warmth should draw the observer into it”.
Using the camera, Ofira bring the subjects of painting to the studio adding them the mood with the right colors.
Each painting composed of many transparent of acrylic paint. The outlines are drawn in white, which radiates inner light and constitutes element in every painting. This special technique was developed and mastered by Ofira; allow her to express emotion, mood, and thoughts in her painting.
Born in Haifa – Israel “and I have been painting for as long as I can remember”.
Ofira start her art studies in Haifa and graduate in the school of Tel Chai in the upper Galilee. 1977 studied in Austria specialized in the technique of tempera and oil.
Since 1967 Ofira Barak exhibit in tens of solo and groups exhibitions in Israel, Europe, USA, and South America.
Ofira paintins can be found in many privet and galleries collections including the Israel president house and the museum of Ein Harod and the Jewish museum of art in New York.
